Beyond the technical changes, the business process will change with increasing levels of automation using digital tools. The intended outcome of the transformation is to have approximately the same number of finance experts in the business, but focussing their attention on good business management, not on \u2018pushing buttons\u2019. This role is for several people, some focussing on accounting change, some on actuarial change, some on linking the two.<\/p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><ul type=\"disc\"><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Recording current best-practise process and recording differentiation around other business units. Agreeing the process across the business.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Identify pinch-points in the process on opportunities to optimise.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Agree the user requirements (accounting or actuarial) for the IT implementation experts.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Participate in or lead the re-design of ledger\/journal infrastructure or modelling architecture<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Translate either the ledgers\/journals or models across from the legacy systems to the new platforms.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Test and resolve bugs on the new systems.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Develop and automate the processes for users using digital tools.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Work with operational users to optimise the processes across the business and introduce optimised ways of working.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES<\/b><\/p><div><ul><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Minimum\u00a05\u00a0years of\u00a0accounting or actuarial change experience, with at least 10 years overall work experience.<\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Experience of linking disparate systems.<\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Professional qualification in accounting, actuarial science, business analysis or project management.<\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Capable of optimising ledgers or models.<\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Capable of defining optimised processes.<\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Good at maintaining relationships with different teams in different countries to balance the business requirements and user needs.<\/li><li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Good critical thinking, big picture as well as detail.
